So O and I bought a Spiderman tin
filled with taffy for Grandad. And after
lunch Grandad and Nana went to the same
store. Grandad wanted to buy a tin of
taffy and Oliver did an amazing job of
keeping his secret and thwarting Grandad's
efforts to make a purchase. This is him
saying "Oooh, no Grandad."
This is O saying "no, no, no
Grandad," no taffy purchases for you.

"Let's run Grandad."

Just When I Thought O Could not be More Endearing

Last night we were lying in bed talking before sleepy time. Oliver wanted to know what would happen in the future and I was telling him about growing up and doing all the things grown ups do, like working. So I asked him what he thought he might like to do for a job.

me: "Would you like to be an astronaut?"
O: "No."
me: "How about a doctor?"
O: "Oh Yeah! A real doctor so I can take care of people's bodies. That's why I want to be
at work with you."
me: "Because I help take care of people's bodies?"
O: "Yeah."

I almost cried a little bit. It was like a movie moment. He's just so precious.

My Precious O

Oliver's first favorite song was "Uptown Girl," which he calls "Up Down Girl." The other day he asked me to play it then asked, "does she do tumbling?" "I don't know buddy, why?" To which he replied "because she's up and down."

My little angel handing out candy.
He loved it, maybe even more than
recieving candy.

Chasing the pigeons in Market Square
and getting them with his Web Slinger.
The pirate ship.
He can ring your be-e-ell, ring your bell.

We're thinking very deep thoughts about
the eco-consequences of the machine age.
